Richard has a strong background in physics and exotic space technologies. He holds a Masters degree in physics with space sciences and technology obtained from the University of Leicester in 1999. From 1999 to 2002, Richard worked for the United Kingdom government, researching SAR polarimetry. Richard then moved to Texas, and received his Ph.D in 2008. His expertise includes the Casimir Effect, higher dimensions, and cosmology. Specifically, his Ph.D dissertation illustrated a mechanism whereby higher dimensional Casimir energies could serve as a mechanism to stabilize the higher dimensions of the Randall-Sundrum brane world models. Richard is know for his interest in warp drives and the suggestion that a technological manipulation of the extra dimension might allow an advanced civilization to control the local dark energy density. He resides in Houston, Texas.
